Re: babies get bigger with each pregnancy?

dd1 was 7lb 2oz and 19.5" at 38.5 weeks.
dd2 was 7lb 2oz and 19" at exactly 37 weeks.

we joke that this one will be born the day she hits 7lb 2oz whether that be 36 weeks or 40 weeks. guess we'll find out in may/june.

Re: babies get bigger with each pregnancy?

Mine went up: first was 8p5o, but she was born 3 weeks early; second, 9 p, 4.5o, born on edd; their, 9p10o, three days overdue. I think if my first had been born on time she would have been HUGE. I told my mw that as long as they stay under 10 pounds I am fine.

Re: babies get bigger with each pregnancy?

Mine have all been around the same. The only bigger one was a boy and not that much.

DD #1 6 pounds 9 ounces
DS #2 7 pounds 1 ounces
DD #3 6 pounds 11 ounces
DD #4 6 pounds 3 ounces

I was told that DD #4 was going to be bigger; since, she was my fourth and I seemed bigger but she was my smallest. I don't think anyone but God knows!

Re: babies get bigger with each pregnancy?

dd: 9 lb 7 oz (born right on time)
ds1: 8 lb 8 oz (born 4 days early)
ds2: 10 lb 12 oz (born right on time)
ds3: 10 lb 13 oz (born right on time)

I have always passed the glucose test with flying colors. When people hear how big my babies have been they always ask if I'm diabetic. Nope! I agree that bigger babies can be easy- mine have always settled into the head-down position fairly early and stayed put. And with the exception of my first baby, I've never had to push for more than 5 minutes (with dd I pushed for about 15 minutes). And I didn't even tear AT ALL with ds2 and ds3. So, don't be scared of big babies! (I didn't need pain meds either).
