Posted to MilkShare....but not getting anything yet.

Just thought I would put it out here too If anyone knows of anyone in Northern CA/Southern Oregon who are interested in donating milk, please send them my way

My husband and I adopted a precious little boy in August, and I am running out of my stock-piled frozen milk that I pumped myself. I am only making about 5-6 ounces a day, and he refuses to take the breast due to a poor latch/ inability to suck right

I was really hoping to be able to keep him on only breastmilk until at least a year.

Thanks!
Dawn

good luck mama!! have you inquired with a la leche league leader? sometimes they know of donors...

you can also look in Milkshare and have the milk shipped to you from the nearest donors.

Aww, good luck momma!

Sometimes it can take a few days or even weeks before you get a response. If you don't get any replies within a week try re-posting it. Also make sure you look in the Willing to ship all states area because sometimes women post in there that have milk in your area and don't even look in the state forum.

Hi

Where abouts in Northern CA are you? I am in the SF bay area and I know a mom from my mothers group is exclusively pumping and throwing out milk daily she is producing double what her baby is drinking. I can talk to her for you if you are somewhat local. Her baby was born July 31 so would be close in age to your son.

I donated to milkshare when I was EPing with my daughter, unfortunately I just don't have the time right now to pump to help you out but let me think about it! my son was born July 1.

Good Luck with finding a match on Mildshare, I agree with the PP bump your post if you don't get any response in a week or so. You never know when someone is going to have some milk to donate
