I just realized B hasn't had "milk" at all today or yesterday, and I think the day before... Of course, the milk has been pretty much gone for a bit, so it has just been comfort nursing lately, and let me tell you, it hasn't been comfortable! I'm still sad though

Way to go on the cleaning Cheryl. I swear it's why we keep up our Wednesday night group suppers. I need a reason to keep this place clean. I am not much of a housekeeper.

I wish I had that reason for motivating me....it must make it a bit easier to kick yourself in the bum to get the work done.

First, I bought one with a rechargeable lithium battery, which means I will have to go back and buy another battery so one is always charged, and I have to wait eight hours to play with the camera because I have to initially fully charge it first. Second, this camera does not have a "Food" setting. Because I pretty much only take pix of the kids, my crocheting, and food.
I never saw a camera with a food setting.

My BFF stayed the weekend with us, the first time since Rosie was a baby. I usually stay with her so she doesn't have to be subjected to the chaos that is my life. She and DH are TTC, so I invited her first this time after moving up here (and hopefully that hasn't squashed the TTC effort, LOL). Anyway, all 2YOs go through some sort of everything is "NO" phase, but of course mine don't do it like everyone else. Rosie always said "Maybe Not" (a la Maisy), Ginger would say "Hey, you, wanna fight?" (a la the Very Grouchy Ladybug), and Ian says "I don't like X." He was saying it all weekend. The highpoint was "I don't like a million dollars."

So anyway I posted on FB that it was going to be 40 and rainy tomorrow, and she responded "I don't like 40 degrees." Which made me spit diet coke out my nose, and no one else in the world has no idea why it's so funny. Well, until now.

Alright, enough stalling. Time to clean...

Re: Basically it's a lovely Saturday

Shannon's first tablet went down easily

She seems happy enough, not much difference that I could see but MIL said she was much calmer at the breakfast table and ate well

I am asking her how she feels through the day. This morning she said she feels no different, at lunch (now) she said she feels a tiny tiny bit dizzy but it's not bothering her.

We did homework this morning and she worked very well with no stress or tantrums....but we were alone and it was early in the day so I'm not going to read too much into that. She had to write out a passage (some words were pictures which needed writing into words) and she did that without any help from me. I was sat at the table colouring cards for Derry's speech therapy so I was with there the whole time but not reading each word like last week and constantly encouraging her to keep working......I did still need to do that but nowhere near as much as before.

A minor blip when she saw she was suppose to do spelling practice...but once she worked out how to do it she was much happier/calmer and we even did extra words

She had an orange sheet of words (that she had to do) and we did the yellow sheet from last week too. She'd look at the word, write it without looking at the sheet and then check her answer. She only made a couple of tiny mistakes like only 1 "s" where there should be 2 or a small letter when there should be a big letter. The yellow sheet she did without looking at all I'm so proud of my little girl

Since this mornings work she's played nicely with her sister and painted me a picture

Re: Basically it's a lovely Saturday

I've trimmed finger and toe nails and very slowly pottered about tiding up the living room, putting the dirty clothes in the laundry and made brunch for myself. I'm still surprised how much it hurts to do so little, I guess I really didnt take this operation too seriously...I should have done!

The kids are playing and painting with Oma.
