Re: Knitters--Hookers--Spinners--Dyers ♫ WIP ♫ 10/2/2010

Good Afternoon. DH is off at a friend's house, so I'm chillin with kids and very slowly plugging away at an owlie sleep sack. you know how that goes, knit a few stitches, break up a fight, knit a few stiches, pull 23 mo. DS off of whatever he is climbing on...

I bought some of Stacey's Izzy cw on mmw to make a hat for my Izzy, now I need to find a pattern.

Congrats on the BFP's, ladies!!!!!

Lynne, sorry about the bus drama. Glad your DS is alright.

I think I'm going to cast on my Lost in the Woods today for my Ivey!!! After that, I get to do a YYMN using Mosaic Moon scraps on Gaia bulky.

Question: I know there was some discussion a little while back about switching colors for scrappies. So, do you all just start the new yarn without doing anything special, or twist them together, or what? Can someone tell me the best way to do it?
Thanks!
I would either do the double knit it join, or do the felted join.

I like that. What'd ya use?

Flip a chair over, use about 3 legs. Have some one hold the loose end or tie it around the leg. Start wrapping

Handsome men you have there
Thanks! Ill try that today when Phe is napping

Jessie, I wonder if she wound it while it was wet, and then it dryed.
Hope it bounces back.

I love the smell of wet yarn. Here it is, it is Montana 100% merino wool.:

Looks wonderful!

I could hurt someone with this yarn ball! It's 7 ounces all rolled into a ball smaller than the normal 4 ounce ones, I'm not quite sure how she did it I hope the stretch of the yarn isn't shot.
I have had some of those too from before I got my swift and my hubby was *helping* by winding yarn for me - you can literally bounce these balls of yarn and yes they do hurt when you throw them. But I was able to soak, dry and reskein or rewind and they were fine. Good luck!!

Amy, my stars that set is absolutely stunning....I love ATTD "Thanksgiving" I have a few skeins of it here to knit up too. Melissa made me a pair of Bella Mittens from one set of it last winter and I have some left of the cestari and 2 more on superwash...maybe a matching Bella cowl or something for this year...

Wow everything is lovely. I showed DS the pic of Lynn's DS, and he sad your son looks like a kid in his class named shawn. lol. Then he added he wants a sweater not a vest. Ugg why does he have to have such an opinion, a vest would have been faster no sleeves. I have MM Blue Goblin for his set. He wants pants too. lol I think I should have enough.
