E is off to school on the bus, Ru and I are having breakfast, and I have a load of laundry in the machine. It's rare that I do laundry during the week, but I needed to wash a bunch of odds and ends before we leave tomorrow morning to go to Quebec.

Mel! on the back-to-school sniffles.

I really need to get off my bum and go fold/reboot laundry, and unpack the last few boxes of bathroom stuff now that we have shelves in the bathroom. Instead I'm sitting here pouting about not having my favorite baking book and my spices. Do we think pumpkin bread made with just cinnamon would be too lackluster to even bother? Cinnamon is the only spice I have here other than cumin.

I think it would be good, maybe add more than you would usually to make up for the other missing spices.

I'm thinking of making this for Heiner. He asked me to make him a sweater and I got the yarn ages ago but I said he had to loose weight first because I'd be pissed if I made it and he suddenly lost weight and it would be to huge....but he isn't loosing any weight any time soon so I guess I should make it. It's going to be a massive task.
