Re: Basically it's Thursday!

Good morning! Ran errands all yesterday afternoon, then went for dinner at a friends' place. We got a new coffee maker because our old one bit the dust -it's a Bodum french press and my coffee is amazing this morning!

WOTA:
breakfast
fold diaper laundry
wash sheets and towels and kitchen cloth
sweep floors
mom & baby group at 1pm
pick up stuff from Staples (got a bunch of alphabet cards laminated for Malcolm)

I read your birth story from yesterday's thread Faith -so exciting! Griffon is just precious about the anxiety

Heidi, I say go ahead and make it with only cinnamon. I am sure it will still be tasty.

Wow! I mustn't show that to Ru, or she'll want one. I don't know if I have the patience to knit something that large. I've only ever knit one sweater, and it was baby-sized with no seaming. That would be a LOT of work!

Ru is off to work, wash is in the dryer, and I am working on my contract while watching Food Network. Can I just say that editing documents that are actually in DOC form is like child's play after what I tried to do on Tuesday? Thank goodness!

Re: Basically it's Thursday!

Morning mamas!

I decided I needed to take a pic of myself, so I have proof when the kids are older I wasn't always a haggard old woman. Well, and that I just fixed my hair and put on mascara, LOL, which never happens. I'm trying not to care I need a haircut, brow wax, grays colored, etc because this is the best it's gonna get.

It's Thursday. That means take the kids to the hyper kid's house, volunteer at Rosie's for 45 minutes herding little cats, then make my kids eat lunch at their house while the other mama alternately wrangles hyper 5YO and ever-curious 16MO toddler. It will do wonders for my mood and my perspective on my children.

Re: Basically it's Thursday!

Janine, that pattern you're considering for your DH! I started this for DH, but then put it down to do Christmas knitting last year and...well...haven't picked it up since. Maybe I can finish it before we go to upstate NY in March for a wedding, since it'll be nice and cold I'm sure!

Pumpkin bread is in the oven. Should be interesting to see how it comes out. I didn't have vegetable oil, so used some butter and a little bit of olive oil instead. Also didn't have vanilla extract, but thankfully I had some vanilla powder we bought here. No idea if it'll be any good, but it helped soothe my burning need to procrastinate on those boxes!

Yay for good coffee! I'm so happy to have our coffeemaker back. We were using a percolator for the first couple of weeks here, which is still good but just not the same. We have an old-school style Capresso machine, and it makes such good coffee.
