Re: Same letter names...

We have a slightly different variation to the same thing. ODS is J.J. because those are the names we loved. YDS is L.L. because those are the names we loved. Now we "HAVE" to have the double letter with all the others

Re: Same letter names...

We have a Carter. Our next baby will be Cole or Kelsey. We aren't purposely going for a C/K sound theme. Just names that we like! Well, dh doesn't like Kelsey, but oh well...

I agree with this one. I actually wanted a theme of middle names starting with E then scrapped it with our third.. do what you want!

Re: Same letter names...

I have almost all L names. My oldest is Alyssa but her name has the L sound. Everyone else is Lauren, Lily & Lucian. It just happened. It wasn't intentional. I picked Lauren's name, my exDh picked Lily's name & my DH picked Lucian's name. I'm definately done having kids so that's the end of the L's.

I don't think I confuse names anymore than any other parent does. I do have 1 friend who is the youngest of 5. They all have matching first names except my friend. My friend, as an adult, has said that he feels left out. Though I think that also has to do with other family issues going on there.

Re: Same letter names...

I have two H names, Holly & Heather. We didn't plan it - those are just two names we liked. I don't think we're going to purposely continue the H theme, although I do like Henry for a boy. I know four sisters whose names all begin with SH. Kind of a tongue-twister.

But I agree with others - the baby won't feel left out, just choose a name you like.

Re: Same letter names...

We kinda fell into something like this too. With DS Riley was a name both DH and I liked... then with DD the only name we could agree on for a girl was Kaleigh. We realized before she was born that they both had the -lee sound at the end, but honestly we could not come up with a different girls name to avoid it that we both liked. Now with #3 on the way I feel like I should stick to that pattern. I mean, I know I don't HAVE to, but it kinda seems like those are the names DH and I agree on most! lol I guess it is just what we like because so far we have Jolie for a girl and Wesley for a boy, go figure!

Re: Same letter names...

haha i totally say pick what you like!!! who cares if it starts with the same letter or not. my parents named all of us with J names (jeremy, jessica, jonathan, jasmine, and jireh) and to add to that we all have D middle names so basically the exact initials except the 3 younger ones have a second middle name and my older brother and I do not.
when DH and i got married we hadnt discussed the name thing but we now have 4 boys whose names all begin with C because thats what DH wanted and he wouldnt back down(corey, cadyn, casey, canyon). our ds1 and ds4 are actually called by there middle names which are not C names so its less confusing when trying to call out the right name for the right person!!LOL good luck mama and congrats on #3

ETA: i will say now that the C thing is started i have a few more names i could use and wouldnt be upset with so i'm happy to stick with the C's
