Light meat
Dark meat

What ever is left over from chicken before?

LOL dh thinks it should only be dark meat I am in the camp of what ever is left over.

Most recipes call for dark chicken, but I only use white, because that is all we ever have in the house and I LOVE chicken and dumplings. It tastes just fine.

I voted other because I use both. I just toss a whole cut up chicken in to boil and then shred the meat later on.

I normally use what is leftover from a whole chicken. Is ends up being mostlt dark meat anyways. I prefer dark meat in my C&Ds. Something about the smoothness of the meat. LOL.

I cook a whole chicken to get a good broth, remove most of the white meat and use whatever is left with the dumplings.

yea I put other too...cause I use the whole chicken...boil it first to make the broth...take out the bones and chop away....so we get it all!
