TIA Mamas
I'm in Ottawa too
Since the weather is starting to warm up, can you go for walks to get you out of the house for a bit?
I don't have the same nursing problem, but dd is very curious. So she'll be nursing, latch off, have a look around, latch on, etc. So I try to go to the malls that have the nursing rooms that have little divided nursing stations to reduce distractions...lol

We have the same issue!!! My baby girl Peyton is almost 7.5 months and we have been doing side lying since she was about 4 ish months. I was feeding her so often (supply issue) that I got tired of sitting there and holding her. Well she got in her feeding groove I guess cause now she doesn't nurse nearly as well if I cradle hold her etc. I mean I do if we are not home...but she much preferes to lay on the bed with me. I'm not sure if there's a way around it. Sorry I'm not much help..just wanted you to know you're not alone!

I am still on mat leave until July, but then I will be a WOHM (but really I just try not to think about it too much right now)

I'm also on mat leave...until August. I'm a teacher too but I haven't decided yet if I'm going back to work in September.

I'm on leave till July but I've accrued soo much vaccy that I am going to ask to stay off till August. Makes it easier to take my little man to all the specialists that want to see him when he turns 1. I am a WOHM full time too. WIsh I could stay home!

I was DREADING going back to work in January. Just thinking about it put me in tears , to the point where my husband thought I was a bit nuts. In the end, little man loved playing with the other two little boys at his daycare (we do private daycare at someone's home) and he adjusted to the new schedule in about two days flat. It really was harder on me than him. Some days when I pick him up, he comes to give me a hug and then runs back in to the other room because he wants to keep playing. :P

I also use a private home daycare and Jake loves it as well. He asks to go most mornings and is always excited to go.

The girls adjusted fine as well. They just aren't vocal about it yet.

I agree its harder on us then them most of the time

Re: Ontario Mommies/Mommies-to-be Group!

I'm on mat. leave as well, until June
I work retail as an area manager, but will be looking for something else. There's been so many changes since I went on leave, and I've been with the company for so long, I'm just over it.
I might try to find something part-time instead.
My mom will be watching my girls when I go back.
