You can't sell via PM? Clarifaction please?

What does this part of the rules exactly mean?

Selling via Private Messages is still not allowed on the site and while this may happen from time to time, should the transaction go awry, we will not be able to help you resolve any issues with either seller or buyer. You do this completely at your risk - no exceptions. Please follow the rules to allow us the opportunity to help you should a problem come up.

Every single item I have sold, someone has seen it listed in a thread, PM'd me about it, I PM them back my PP addy, and then the DC when I ship.

Is that "selling via PM" or what does that exactly mean?

I am now wondering the very same thing...also, what is going to happen to all of our listings after Monday?? Are we going to have to relist what we have on here right now?? I am super curious to know how all of this is going to work with SO many members on here wanting to apply for the new group to sell stuff....

I didn't mean to hijack either....just didn't want to have a bunch of threads with the same questions....the new rules info is in the first forum...cannot think of the name right now. They are supposed to take affect (effect??) Monday 11/1. I am so happy I opened that thread. I never look up here at the rules and such! LOL!! Glad I did this time. I meant to say, I sell just like you do with a PM from a buyer, give them my PP addy through a PM and etc. I don't know how else we would do it??

I think they want only people who are approved sellers (after the change) to sell items. Of course you'd have to go back and forth through pm to work out the details though so I don't know how they'd be able to prevent un-approved folks from selling just through pm's and not the new fsot forum?

I didn't read through all of the responses but I think they mean that you are selling via PM without an actual Post of the item(s) you are selling.

So what are we supposed to do if someone pms about something we have? Put up a reserved fsot post? That's silly.
