Re: My Rocky Mountain Diaper Review - SUPER Pic Heavy!

i have one of these that was in my 'trial' stash (my wee one is 8 weeks old and was born just under 8 lb...not a fat baby but a kinda tall baby)...

and I can't make it fit.
On the smallest, the leg holes are to tight. On the next size bigger, they gape to much to contain poo.
No love yere yet, Ill try again when she's bigger.

All good information. Thank you ladies. I was wondering if I was brave enough to try one of these with Kate with a flannel liner at naptime. Guess not.

We really like ours. I don't mind the snaps issues though, I like how I can either skip one or go right to the next one on the snaps (if that makes any sense) seems to allow a little more customization that way. And I love the leg ruffles (even on DS) and as pp said they do come with an insert now (the large microfiber insert). I love the yummy suedecloth colors! -Infact, we are doing a giveaway for one right now!

They seem like they'd fit a newbie well! Very cute diapers.

Re: My Rocky Mountain Diaper Review - SUPER Pic Heavy!

I used to have a nice stash of RMDs -- I absolutely loved the fit and the colors. This was before I realized that the PUL was giving my DS rashes I was soooooo sad that I had to sell them. I traded about half of them here, then hung onto the rest for another couple months b/c they were so cute, and finally sold them all together on CL along w/2 dozen infant PFs.

I never noticed the snaps placement issue at all. When my DS was wearing the RMDs, I didn't think the fit seemed weird or looked bad. I would snap the innermost snap of the wing to the outermost snap of the front to prevent wing droop, then snap the outer wing snap to the appropriate spot on the front for a snug fit. I *think* that is an intentional design for preventing wing droop for smaller waists.

Personally I think they are designed more for babies that chunk up really quick (my DS was/is a big chubbers). I hated most of the OS diapers I'd tried for him b/c the leg elastic was too tight and left marks. BG 3.0s were awful and too tight. RMDs were great

Re: My Rocky Mountain Diaper Review - SUPER Pic Heavy!

We used RMD up until my DS PLed. We started when he was 14 months and he PLed at 27 months. We had leaking issues if the leg snaps were too loose or he soaked the insert. They held up well and are put up for our DD once she is a little older. I bought small inserts to try and will see how they work when she is small ( she will be here in 2 weeks or so). All in all we liked these. They were the bulk of our stash. I will definately use them again and they are really cute and trim. I have not used FB OS so I cannot compare them.
Of note my DS was super skinny and had smaller thighs HTH someone
