For the love of reading group - November *Join us!*

Do You Like to Read? Do you want to make reading a bigger part of your life OR are you already an avid reader but want someplace to discuss books and get book recommendations?

WELCOME!

This will be a monthly thread where we’ll set personal goals for reading, as well as discussing books. This also can be a place for you to keep track of how many/what books you’re reading to your kids, if you’d like.

How to Get Started:
First set a goal for yourself! You can challenge yourself to read a certain amount of pages or books per month/year. This is OPTIONAL - if you don’t want a goal that’s fine. Having one is just a tool to help some of us make sure we’re reading but its not a requirement to join in
If you do decide to set a personal goal you can post it here but you DON'T have to if you'd rather keep it private-this is NOT a competition and there is no prize for reading the most books lol!
Do whatever YOU want to do and most of all HAVE FUN with reading!

Second-get a book and start reading! When you’re done with a book it would be great if you could talk about it here-you don’t have to do a chapter by chapter summary but just a sentence or two about why you like/dislike it. This will help others find new books to enjoy themselves

And feel free to join in at any time! I've taken lead in starting this month's thread, but if anyone wants to start the new months if I forget - please do!

Re: For the love of reading group - November *Join us!*

Hello, hello! It's November!! Crazy! October was a great month, so I'm sad to see it go!

What's everyone reading now? I wanted to finish the last Sookie Stackhouse book yesterday, but all of the Halloween excitement took first place and I didn't get to finish. Probably today though. I'm still not sure what I'll pick up next.

PS - don't forget to sub to this new thread!

I'm never able to keep up with these threads but I want to try! I'm currently reading the Sookie Stackhouse book series on my Kindle. I'm not sure which book I am on now but am 40% done the 8 book set. I'm really enjoying it more than I thought I would. Once I'm done these then I plan to re-read the Outlander series again but that will take me awhile!

I am setting a two book goal this month. I am hoping to read way more then that but I have a really busy month ahead of me.

I am reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks right now.

I just finished #5 of the Mercy Thompson series by P. Briggs (Silver Borne I think it was). love those!!! now, have to decide what to read next. I think it's gonna be a memoir thingy about the Susan G. Komen founder (her sister) and how that got started. Probably a tear jerker, but I need some "content" next and not just fluff.

I'm cruising through Evanovich's Sizzling Sixteen. Could they make the font, spacing and margins any larger? But I will read it quickly and that makes me happy I've finished another book.

Hello Mamas! I want to join this group! My DH bought me a kindle for my birthday two days ago and I have no idea what to read on it!!! I just finished Pillars of the Earth and I couldn't put it down but......... I am looking for something lighter, funnier and not to terribly romantic. There is a lot of emotions running through my house right now and I need a bit of an escape. Please recommend something delish!
