Re: For the love of reading group - November *Join us!*

I couldn't decide what to read next, so I picked up the next Stephanie Plum book and have been reading that. I think I'm going to also read The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. It's about this old guy that dies and then has to meet five people from his life that help him learn about his life, life in general, and their significance. It's supposed to be really good, so we'll see!

I'm reading #4 now and Lulu has been working with her since the 2nd book I think. But a quick google search came up with book #10 as where she finds out what body wash Ranger uses, so that might be the one you're looking for.

I love to go through the free kindle books on Amazon every once in a while and I've found a few good ones that way. I use the Kindle for PC app and while at work sometimes it's a HUGE lifesaver.

I'm just starting on Saint Training by Elizabeth Fixmer. I don't know how good it's gonna be or if it will even be worth the read, but it was free. I have a few more just in case.

Re: For the love of reading group - November *Join us!*

I'm so weak!!! I have TONS of books to read here at home, and yet I can't help myself in a library!! What is my problem?! I went to return a movie and pick up ONE book and came home with an audio book and three books. Soo...up next, in no particular order yet:

Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin *audiobook (about a 14 yr old girl that dies and goes to heaven, only to find that life goes backwards to birth where she'll be born again back on Earth)
Buddhism for Mothers by Sarah Napthali (a DS mama mentioned this in one of our reading threads and I wanted to check it out.)
A Year by the Sea by Joan Anderson (auto-bio about a woman that takes a year to herself away from her husband and escapes to the coast by herself)
A Walk on the Beach by Joan Anderson (the 3rd book in a trilogy and I didn't realize it...thought it was the follow up to A Year by the Sea but there's a book between the two so I have to pick that up before reading this one)
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom (one I actually own)

I'm also still "reading" Ireland by Frank Delaney. It's an audiobook and a looong one. I haven't copied it to my iPod, so it's going really slow since I've only been listening to it in the car. It's really, really good though!

Ugh, I'm having a really hard time refraining from buying an e-reader! Especially with all of these free books available. There are some refurbished Nooks on Ebay with 1 yr warranty for $99 and free shipping and I'm sooo tempted.

I'm getting either a Nook or a Kindle here soon...cannot decide which though I finished up The Sister Wife last night, it was better than i thought it would be!

Now to find a GOOD loooong series to read. I have about 75% of the In Death series that were given to me, but I read 1-3 and just cannot really get into them.

the kobo is nice and the nook lets you lend books. I love my Kindle but that's because I use amazon gift cards to buy my books so they don't cost me anything.

thanks!

I'm kind of though. How do you upload the books? If you are home, that is. Do you have a usb cord? Or how does that work?

My kindle has wi-fi and 3G so I can literally shop on my Kindle and it comes automatically with no hooking up to anything. If I don't want to do it that way then I can shop at amazon and buy the book and tell it to send to my kindle and it does within a minute. It's super easy!
