Re: Examples of pumping schedules?
I work full time and pump 3 times a day.
Here is my routine 5 am - nurse 8 am - pump 11 am pump 2 pm pump 5 - 530 - nurse 9 pm - nurse One of the most frustrating things about pumping is that you must be RELAXED to achieve more than one let down. But unfortunately when you are worried about having enough milk, you become stressed. What I do is try to be as relaxed as possible. close your eyes picture your baby, relax your shoulders, smell a nice smell (i use lavender). Also I invested in a hands free bra that lets me pump while I catch up on emails, that way i am not thinking about it at all. Be sure to drink plenty of water and relax. I went back to work when my daughter was 3 months old and was able to pump exclusively for her. I am currently doing the same for my 6month old. If you have any questions feel free to pm me Good luck Also, you are going to need to bank your first day supply, i did that by pumping an once or 2 at a time between feedings. |
