Re: If money were no object?

I'd buy a bunch, just to see which one I'd like best, and then give whatever ones I didn't need to families in need that want to ERF. =D

Basically... since money is an object, I've never had a realllly expensive carseat to even know if I like the more expensive ones.. so not sure which one I'd actually want.

Truly, I think the MyRide is a REALLY good deal. Cheaper than Britax, but can RF to 40 lbs and harness to 65 lbs! That's the only convertible seat I have experience with. Will soon be getting a True Fit though.

I'd want to try out a bunch of them for a couple weeks at a time and then donate my least favorites too.

I'm actually super content with what we have even though I'd like to try a couple that I just can't justify buying, like a Coccoro. We have an onBoard Air 35 for the newb(as far as buckets go, I heart this one), Radian XTSL for the toddler(wouldn't trade this for the world-I'd maybe just get a couple more covers to change up the look), Nautilus for the 7yr old(I'd probably trade this one for a Frontier if money were no object), and a Britax Parkway for the 9yr old(he's actually tried out a bunch of high end super $$ boosters and the Parkway is his favorite.

Re: If money were no object?

I actually like the Recaro seats Ive had the best. My kids are 5 1/2 years apart so Ive been around LOL! Ive had/borrowed quite a few within the last 2 years with our playgroup we carpool sometimes so Ive had an opportunity to try them all. Recaro will ERF, and the side wings make baby sit deep within the seat not just kind of hovering on it. That and I like its made with the same core materials and principals they use to make their full size racing seats. DD loves the head pillows and the butt pillows.

Id get another Recaro even if money were no object.

Re: If money were no object?

For a combination seat (forward facing only, converts harness to booster), a frontier85, unless I found a Recaro Prosport to try out and ended up liking it better.

For a convertible seat, I like the rearfacing tether option. If I had big kids OR needed a narrow seat, I'd get a Radian XTSL, provided it installed well in my vehicle. If I had average-small kids and didn't need a narrow seat, or if the radian didn't install well in my car, then I'd get a boulevard70, or maybe an advocate70 if the extra bulk really wasn't an issue.

Re: If money were no object?

I really like my Complete Air. I think it really is my dream car seat.

ETA: It's a Complete Air 65.

2 Radian 2010 XTSLs, one to leave installed in DH's Van and one to have at home for taxi rides and friend's cars.
