need some recommendations please!

We need a new seat for grandma's car. She drives a 2006? Saturn Vue and often transports my daughter or my niece. My daughter is 2, about 23lbs and 34ish inches. My niece is 3 next week, probably 30-33 lbs and no idea how tall, but she's pretty average.

This would be for forward facing.

What would be a good buy that would last us a long time, ideally convert to a booster and able to hold either girl?

If i could add to my wish list, it would be super easy to install, and easy to adjust the harness slot height. Is that too much to ask?

The Nautilus is easy to install and turns into a booster.

The Evenflo Triumph Advance is easy to install, has very easy sliding straps so it's super easy to adjust, but does not convert to a booster.

The Evenflo Maestro has tall slots and is easy to install and converts to a booster but the booster is outgrown as soon as the harness is and the straps require rethreading.

The Britax Frontier meets all of your requirements but the price.

Re: need some recommendations please!

Thank you!!!
How long does the Evenflo Triumph Advance typically last a kid?

And does the Nautilus have sliding straps or do they need to be re-threaded?

Re: need some recommendations please!

Evenflo Triumph Advance goes to 50 lbs. They have a newer version, the Triumph 65, that will last longer. The seat will probably be outgrown by height before weight. Both Triumphs have the infinite harness, or whatever it's called, and do not ever need to be re-threaded. We have these for YDD, who is 17 mos (rear facing). Super-easy install.

The Nautilus straps DO need to be re-threaded, but it is an AWESOME seat. We have 3 of them for our 3yo (both of our cars, and my mom's), and my 4yo (45 lb) nephew fits great in it too. The install on the Nautilus is very easy and it will last forever and ever amen (or until it expires...which will probably come before it's outgrown).

The evenflo triumph advance or triumph 65 will both last about the same time for most kids - to age 5 or so.

We just put our DD in the Nautilus and we LOVE it!!! Even though you have to rethread the straps it's pretty simple and the install is a dream.

Yep--the straps are the same height and they are more than likely outgrown by height first anyway

Re: need some recommendations please!

We have the Evenflo in the Equinox which is a similar car and it works great. I had a corroco in it and I was not a fan but love the Evenflo - my son loves it too - he really likes the higher base so he can see out the window. He's 13 months and we RF. I've RF with 2+ year olds in it and there is plenty of room left in it.
