I started having contrx yesterday at work about the same the daycare called and said that Nolan had a fever. I picked him up and tried to make it to the ped but I was in so much pain I went to the hosp. DH came and got Nolan and took him to the ped while I got monitored. After 6 hours of 2 min apart contrx and a membrane stripping with no dilation, the sent me home.

At 1:30 this morning I was awakened by contrx that were about 20 min apart. I also started having bloody show. The contrx increased to 3 min apart and I was having trouble breatrhing through them, so I woke DH and we headed to the hosp.

When we got there I was 7cm and completely effaced (about 5am). Got epidural around 6am and my water broke at 6:30. Julianna was born at 6:49 in 2 pushes. She's 7lbs, 10oz and 21 in long. She looks like Nolan but with dark hair. She nursed great this morning but is now sleepy, so I'm struggling to wake her. Porter is on his way to see her but Nolan can't come up b/c of his fever.

Congrats Gena! Sounds like a quick birth! I'm glad she arrived so quickly for you!
