Ikea potty for 8 week old?

Well, I'm thinking of starting ECing. DH is actually interested in it, and he really doesn't like CDs so much, so I think it might work! I'd like to get a potty for upstairs and one for downstairs though, and the BBLP is about $10 more than the Ikea ones. Is the Ikea potty going to be huge for an 8 week old? Can I put her on it sideways until she gets bigger? Any advice would be helpful, since I have no idea what I'm doing!

We used the Ikea potty with DS at like 5 weeks with no issues. Since we were holding him it was not an issue. I like how easy it is to clean too.

We don't ec but we do have 5 Ikea potties. *lol* (One for each girl in each bathroom and one in the car). Our younger dd has always wanted to sit on the potty when older dd does and as soon as she was capable of supporting herself she could sit comfortably on the Ikea potty. Before then you'd be holding/supporting them anyway so I'd bet it would work great! We love our Ikea potties because we can HAVE 5 potties which we never could have afforded 5 of the bblp's.

Thanks for the help! I bought one last weekend. I haven't actually managed to get her to go on it yet, but I'm going to start trying more often now!
