Giving my 26 month old a little ''push'' towards Potty Training

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that could help me give my 26 month old boy that little extra helping push towards being Potty Trained. He tells me when he is wet 95% of the time he will tell me 50% of the time when he is dirty.

How can I help him know when he NEEDS to go, other than asking him a thousand times a day if he needs to go (he in-variably tells me ''no'') I have read on here about the 3 day training program but I cant do that kind of thing I have too many things on the go.

Any Ideas?

We used the 3 day method (which took more than 3 days) and it was well worth it. What's great about it is that it teaches HIM how to be aware of his own signals. Instead of you prompting him. My son also tells me "no" if I ask him if he needs to potty. But if I just gently remind him that when he's ready to go, he needs to go to his potty, then he'll just stay quiet and run in when he's ready. The 3 day method was the way to go for us. Not sure what else to tell you, but thought I'd chime in that it worked for us.

Oh.....and my son is 29 months, for reference. But we did the 3 day method at 23 months. He is fully trained now, with just an occasional accident here and there, even at night.

lol, they always say no, don't they? I would try the three day method, it will definitely take longer than that...it's not magic! But a good way to jumpstart PL.
