What should Santa bring? (pics included)

I can't decide on a Santa gift for DS this year! He's 3.5yrs and the only thing he wants is a train table, which his grandparents are getting for him. Clearly, nobody can compete with that, so I'm just trying to pick something that I know will get played with and enjoyed after the inital marathon train table playing session is over.

Here are my choices, in no particular order...help me pick!

1. Playmobil Forest Lodge

2. Playmobil Family Van, Boat, & Camping Sets

3. Kidkraft Fire Station

4. Plan Toys Pirate Ship

5. Melissa and Doug Castle & Castle Doll Playset

Poll to come!

We have the playmobil dollhouse for DD, and it is too fragile. It falls apart if she grabs it wrong. Many of the pieces are really little.

I vote for the castle. My almost 4 year old loves dollhouses, as do her friends.

Agreed. My nephew is 2 1/2 and obsessed with trains but also likes other trucks, cars, etc. He got his train table last year for Christmas and I'm pretty sure it's still his favorite toy. He loves his trains. Probably not what you want to hear, but be prepared for the train table excitement to last awhile! haha... when our local library's children center got their new train table a couple months ago, my nephew had to go play with it four times in five days. I think he'd be most likely to play with the fire trucks, of everything you posted.

2,014 items in 2014?

My son is the same age and I know he'd flip over that castle. And DH would like it better than the dollhouse he's been asking for *giggle*

He's about as vehicle-obesessed as you can get! Anything that goes, he loves. His favorite toys right now are his small wooden train set and the Imaginext construction site he got for his birthday.

Thanks for the heads up on the Playmobil! That would frustrate DS. He hates when his toys don't cooperate.

I'm confident the excitement will last a while too! He actually kept the Toys R Us toy book from last year just so he could look at the train table! There was a Thomas train table at the kids salon we took him too a few weeks ago and he cried for an hour when we had to leave.
