"Cool" clothes for a 13 year old girl?

I'd love to do the gift card thing but she lives about two hours away and in a very rural area. I live within easy access to several malls and she has always loved receiving outfits from stores she can't get to (or afford). She was crazy into Twilight last year so that's an idea I hadn't thought about. Lots of good suggests! Thanks Mama's!

Abercrombie, Hollister & American Eagle are safe bets around here; Aero would be a little step down from there, but still good...we're in a very poor-to-working class rural area in NY, so those are the brands that most kids aspire to...as in, spend the extra money on the Hollister jeans or the AE hoodie, as people will recognize the branding, but get basics or layering pieces at ON or even Target.

Maybe if you know what brand of clothes she's wearing now, you could buy her a "treat" w/ a similar style b/c proportion & styling are so different from one store/brand to another. Maybe AE seems like a step up from her ON jeans, but maybe she wears ON b/c they fit...

I have 12/13 year old DDs. They like old navy, hollister and stuff at kohls/macys.

Justice clothing does not fit my 12/13 year old girls. They are too tall for them.

They still like skinny jeans....ugh.

I think Justice is baby-ish for a 13 year old. My 8 year old loves Justice. My 13 year old wears Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, and Aeropostale, although I've been finding that she wears holes in her Aero clothes pretty fast. Not too upsetting since it's inexpensive, but I am sure not to spend too much money there and can usually find a coupon, too.

I was shopping yesterday with my 13 y/o cousin, she's kind of tom-boyish but still enjoys some girlie stuff. She had no interest in GAP but loves Aeropostale, I think you cant really go wrong with a hoodie for a teenager though lol.

why not do something like a weekend with Auntie where she can go shopping at the stores she doesn't have near her and lunch with you and pick it out. You can make it a gift card for her from you. A day of girls out was a fav gift for me when I was a teen and with my cousins when they were teens (just a few years ago)

I would definitely say aeropostale. You can find aeropostale stuff relatively cheaper than american eagle/hollister. BUT its still as cool! Sometimes the aeropostale store is expensive, but online you can find great deals, and if you sign up for their emails, you can probably get even more $ off coupons just for signing up.
