Re: Anyone else's DC had this problem with juice?

My DS hasn't had much juice, but he has the same reaction to any fruit, at all It only takes a few hours, and his little bum has craters in it, the blisters get so bad. Even when i was nursing, if I drank grape juice, he'd have terrible reflux... Its awful, because fruit is so good for you, and such an easy snack... I hate that he can't have any. I'm hoping its something he'll outgrow. (((hugs))) to your little guy

Re: Anyone else's DC had this problem with juice?

Kids do not need juice in their diet, it just helps get the servings of fruit in. But it is really high in sugar, so even WIC does not recommend more than 4 oz a day for kids up to age 4 I believe it is.

Ayden had a reaction like this, so what I did because he really likes juice was I gave him exactly 4 oz juice 4 oz water every 2 days. It seemed as though it really helped him out and there were fewer rashes. But if you need back up on the juice thing, call your ped, or WIC and they can give you some info to give to your husband.
