dealing with negative feedback

This morning I got notification of a negative rating for some covers that have apparently not made it to their destination. This deal wasn't brokered through here, but another site that we are both on.

It upsets me a little is that I didn't get any notice of the bad rating to come. She did message me last week asking about the tracking number, which I didn't have. Nothing after that. I feel awful as she's had a bad experience in the past with something not arriving, and had to fight for a refund.

I've sent her a PM asking if she'd like to give them a few more days to arrive or be refunded immediately. The other packages I sent out that day (through my DH) arrived at their destinations. I don't think I've ever had a package not show. And I certainly do not want anyone feeling like I've ripped them off.

If it wasn't made on this site, please get in touch with a moderator! You can't be left negative feedback for here for a transaction that didn't occur on this board. Did you get delivery confirmation on the package? If not, depending on how long its been since you shipped and to where, I would say to go ahead and refund her money or at least offer to split the cost with her.

What?! She can't leave you negative feedback for a transaction that didn't happen on this board...that's not right! She should have communicated with you first before...sorry this happened to you mama! Also, I wouldn't refund anything yet until you can get some things cleared up first. Contact a mod. as well!

I agree with getting in touch with a mod, if it wasn't brokered through here, i'm nearly certain you can't get feedback for something that didn't happen here.

I would not be refunding until the buyer contacts you and it's discussed. How long has it been since it shipped? I see you are in Maine, is it going far? Not that it matters, especially if it was parcel post b/c that can take some time, esp now that holiday shipping has begun it can take a while.

I believe my DH mailed them on the 20th, maybe the 21st. I had one going to Florida that arrived (feedback posted on 11/24), the other going to Washington state.

How does one contact a moderator?

If they were mailed first class they can take a couple of weeks if not more especially with the holidays. Good luck!

Your buyer totally jumped the gun!! She also shouldnt leave you feedback here for a transaction that took place on another forum. PM a mod-I think there's a sticky somewhere with their names-ASAP!

Thanks...sometimes bright colors like that aren't noticeable to my distracted mind!

Sort of like it comes back to us in the middle of the night when we are trying to sleep, after struggling to remember all day.
