Goodnight Janine!

They might have been a pain to make, but the turnovers were really A great recipe, and the dough I used didn't have dairy, so it's a good one for those who are dairy free. E ate a whole turnover and asked if he could have one for his school lunch on Friday. Okie dokie!
I love it when the kids ask if they can have my home made stuff for their school lunches.....mostly they dont have choice but it is nice when they ask.

I'm thinking it was the school snack now. The mama has a overly "healthy" snack agenda, I'm betting those apple bars she sent were loaded with more fiber than most 5YOs can handle and probably weird crap too, which is fine if you eat it regularly but not good for those that don't. Especially when they eat 3. This is why I have trouble buying "specialty" foods from Whole Foods and stuff, they stick bee pollen and all sorts or crazy stuff in their that IMHO is not necessary in being healthy and my kids always react to it.
Which is another reason why we are not allowed to do any food in kindergarten.

I am dreading when the kids are old enough to put themselves to bed....although I still had a bed time as long as I was in school so it might not happen for a very long time yet for my girls.

Is it bad that I'm not looking forward to my birthday? Being sandwiched between Ru and E's birthdays (and with Noelle's in there too), it's not feeling super fun this year. Ah well.

Well, like Ru, I'm looking forward to your birthday too! I may make muffins to celebrate!

Go Ru, I know you'll make sure she has has a great birthday

Re: Basically it's Woolly Wednesday!

I'm super tired today...I really just want to go back to bed and sleep for a week but for some unknown reason I keep waking before my alarm.

Fynn woke me this morning looking for his schnuller....Then I figured I'll get up so the alarm doesn't bother him and hoped with a bit of luck he'd go back to sleep....He did

I walked into the girls room...all dark and still beautifully tidy so I did a silly bum wiggle dance up and down the middle of the room for the kids which they thought was great!

Now they are off for the day and Fynn is still sleeping....which is good but also means I have to sit very quiet until he wakes up. So I cant get going on anything....maybe today is a baking/knitting kind of day? Not a cleaning day.

Re: Basically it's Woolly Wednesday!

Nope, it might be a knitting day but not a baking day after all. I have to make a batch of muffins and gingerbread men on Thursday.

The muffins are for the bake sale in school and the gingerbread men are for Cami and Derry, the St Nikolaus gives a baked item to all the children in kindergarten (usually on the 6th....IDK why it's on Friday) and Cami's has to be GF....I said I'd make one for Derry too so that they both have the same.

Before I forget.....Jen, I have no idea how big a K3 child is. Can you tell me how old that is or maybe it would be set to measure a couple so we have a rough idea of the sizes we need to make for them. I'm itching to get going on that huge box of fleece sitting in my living room.

Re: Basically it's Woolly Wednesday!

So much for a knitting day.....I can't even give myself a day off.

I've changed the sheets on all the beds....I do love Shannon and Cami's bunk bed but it is SO HARD to change the sheets. Even standing on a chair it's too high to reach the bed properly.

Cami's bed with the sides on is really hard to get to all the corners and then of course there is my bed....being directly on the ceiling it makes it really really difficult to get the sheet on at the foot end off the bed.

IDK what they did to my laptop while it was away but since it came back it's not over heating and not doing random stuff on it's own. I can leave the mouse pad on and it doesn't wreak everything I type like it used to.

Well there you go....add washing 2 loads of bedding (that's not even all of it!), vacuuming through the entire flat and mopping and all of a sudden the morning is nearly over and you are a sweaty thing again!
