Re: Knitters~Hookers~Spinners~Dyers WIP 12/06

Morning! *yawn* I didn't sleep a wink last night.. I forgot how rough it is having both kids in my bed all night. ugh.

I was kinda freaked anyway, I kept smelling something burning, like melting plastic and was worried to even go to sleep. Strange thing is, the next group of townhouses had a fire. There were 2 firetrucks and a bunch of cops on the street. Yay for military housing

I finished the Fairy Glen longies, just need to weave in ends and possibly add some embellishments. They're really cute and oh so tiny!

Re: Knitters~Hookers~Spinners~Dyers WIP 12/06

I am jealous I can't knit right now. My DH decided to come home for one day since he got sunday off but he works night so my knitting is in the bed room while he is sleeping. I can't go in there... Urghhh I did not sleep very goodlast night. I am dog tired and it is only 8:41.. Had to get up at 6:00a.m. and get the kids off to school and my littlest one is asleep. Good time for knitting but NO.....

On a good note I finished the gift wrap romper and it is blocking something fierce right now... I haven't sewn the button yet because I wanted it blocked before I put the button everything was wonky before I wash it. I am so glad that is done. I need to finish one more arm and will start on my daughter longies since I am waiting for yarn.

I didn't sleep well either. DS was in my bed, again, at 12:30am, then again at like, 4 or something. So from that pt I was smooshed between Dh and fever running boy. Ahhh, good times.

Anyone here watch The Walking Dead?

I never add buttons before blocking. I think it would end up being all wacky since your knitting settles in when washed/blocked and then the buttons might be totally off. KWIM?

I wanted to see the premire (around Halloween) but I totally forgot about it! Is it good?

I guess the kids are trying to give us practice for these beans, huh?

Re: Knitters~Hookers~Spinners~Dyers WIP 12/06

Can anyone tell me about Cascade? Is pilly like purewool, bfl? what?

I really want to knit me a really cute top. It is my goal for 2011 to knit me two tops and two sweaters and maybe a scarf, socks and hat.... I need to make something for me a change. Along with my other knitting for my littlest one.

I like Cesatri and Mountain Meadow because they hardly pill... I want something softer for tops but it doesn't pill like crazy like purewool does. Any suggestions?

morning, y'all!

It looks like I missed a good conversation yesterday.

Not much going on here. I had the usual "OMG, christmas is coming" knitter's deadline moment last night. I have one pair of slippers and 20% of a sock to finish in time to mail them, which is probably about 10 days. I can do it, but it's a moment to panic when you realize your last month is really only about 2 weeks.

I want to start some doll-sized longies, tho. pout.
