Tubes tied, but feeling nauseous and late...

So, our dd is now 5 mths old. I had my tubes tied during my c-section. But, now, I am feeling nauseated like constantly, to the point of vomiting, bad headaches, and dizziness, and I'm a few days late. Could it be? Anyone else get pg right after having a tubal?

I don't have my tubes tied, but have definately heard of it happening! I would just take a test- if you are, and are having this strong of symptoms, I would guess you are past the point of getting a false negative.

I recommend testing right away, because if you are, there is a very high chance of it being a tubal pregnancy, which would need to be taken care of before it ruptures and causes you health problems.

Good luck, keep us posted!

When did you have your first postpartum period? Cycles can be super irregular as your body is getting back on track, so I really wouldn't worry much over being a few days late. Also, you can feel all sorts of things as your hormones are trying to get back on track. But it is probably worth doing a pregnancy test for piece of mind. Like pp mentioned, there would be the risk of ectopic pregnancy (nothing to mess around with) if you are indeed pregnant.

I had a pp period like 6 weeks to the day that I delivered right on schedule. I have had a cycle every month like clock work since then.

I would test. I have a friend that was born after her mom had her tubes tied.

Because of the risk of a tubal pregnancy I would test to find out instead of waiting.

I would test as soon as possible because of the tubal risk too. Good luck, mama!

Yeah, agree here. Test. Because it could be tubal and that wouldn't be safe.

I would test also. I've read that having a tubal done at the same time as the delivery actually makes it less effective, it has something with your body not being back to it's normal state and thus the healing can mess up the procedure. Good luck mama!
