Kaysie= sorry to hear about your pup. I lost both of my cats within 12 mos of each other and both times it had to be a decision to put them down due to health concerns. It's so very hard to be at peace with, even when the decision is clearly the right one.

ETA; good morning! (:
sometimes with purewool it doesn't matter what you do at all. I love purewool but have to accept that it WILL pool. Even alternating skeins will often pool. No real help here... sorry! knitting from both ends of the skein may help, tho, as it reverses the order of colors for one of the two active strands and may visually break it up some. Good luck!!!

I started FIL2's second set of slippers. The first set felted and shrank to a women's size 7. Oops... Hey, I got a new pair of slippers!

I need to block MIL's Faraway So Close tonight.

AND I need to finish the last 20% of a sock for my step father's Christmas gift.

Overall, nothing exciting.

I have an exam today, wish me luck!
Probably the case. The gauge on there is 5spi on 7s, so if you still used 7s with a lighter yarn, like gaia worsted, you probably got more like 5.5-6spi which make it tiny. Teresa said the adult medium was too large for her.

I think I'm going to CO a hat or two today, the kids need new hats and mitts.. is this really silly looking? I bet it would keep them warm! I'll probably mod the 'scarf' part so it just buttons or is a pull over, I think that tying it would bug the crap out of them.

For me?

or another thorpe?

OMG it's not that cold HERE! It's 29 now, feels like 23.

The Toasty Topper would never get worn here. In fact, E won't even wear his Tickle anymore.

I love the Aesderina. I'm a sucker for slouchy hats. I never liked them till now. Is your hair still short?

And have you seen the Sixteen?

here's some purewool that didn't pool too terribly, but still pooled even with two different skeins going:

And here's some kettle-dyed that still managed to pool some in the center of the sweater and down each arm.

Thankfully, once it was on her, it's not noticeable.

yep I have it in my favs, but I get like ADD or something when I knit cables (why? )

I got my hair cut even shorter when we were in FL, kind of a crappy pic, but it's angled and comes to just below my chin (I need another cut speaking of..)

Oh, it's the same as mine. I like your natural color! I think that slouch would look adorable on you.

Well my other issue with the pooling is that the yarn is only two colors..

Re: Knitters~Hookers~Spinners~Dyers WIP 12/07

Lauren, I was going to knit the thorpe for my father but as a beginner knitter (have only made a sleuthing hoodie, hudson hat, cowl, and foggy moutain coveralls) I just couldn't figure out how to join in the round with only 1 stitch on each needle. The first stitch kept coming undone for some reason. Do you think I could reverse the pattern and knit it from the bottom up and substitute the crochet edging with something else?

I should really be studying!

Two pots of water on the stove. One contains vegetables and herbs. One is for washing longies. Which pot do I put the longies into?
