Re: Basically it's woolly Wednesday

I was able to go back to sleep til B woke me up at 6:30. Avery was up in the night throwing up. My mom was here, so she was with her, I didn't even know! She had diarrhea this morning too. Poor kid. It sucks having a throw up virus. She must have picked up something at school. I need to go around with the vinegar spray and try to keep the germs contained to one member of the family! I don't want to deal with a sick toddler, kindergardener or pregnant lady!

We are heading out to the p.o. and Home Depot this morning for the tool we need to finish the painting.

It is here, 23 degrees!

Sorry A is sick Steph. Hope you can keep it contained...

Today is my LONG day this week. I will leave here by 6:50 and not get home until after 7. that is part of what was making me crabby and stressed last night. Tying to figure out my food when gone ALLLLLL day and worrying about MH getting a descent meal for dinner and and and and....I really need to STOP feeling guilty about taking and hour to swim 3 nights a week. And get zen with these monthly meetings that keep me out until 7. I make $2000 extra for doing this so I really just need to CHILL out. It is not as though I am leaving MH in daycare for hours on end she is with her Dad....can you see my internal struggle

heya mamas!
had a great almost 2 days out with my DH....didnt really "do" anything but THAT was the beauty of getting some time to ourselves. We did Christmas shopping, ate out a few times and played a teeny bit of poker all in all it was very nice.

BUT Ana and Julianna are really really sick...they still havent kicked the cough/cold/congestion but to TOP it off they have TONS of yellowish green goop forming in their eyes IDK what I am supposed to do though. DH works until NEXT Tuesday and they need to see a doctor....OR does anyone have remedies for their eyes/congestion???

Re: Basically it's woolly Wednesday

Good morning mamas.

It's that day of the week again. Housework Wednesday. This week will be a little different though. Ru's actually home this morning because she's not feeling so great, but she needs to go in this afternoon for a meeting. She's going to carpool with a coworker on the 1-9 shift and I'm going to keep the car. I have to go to the second hand store, pick up my Naartjie order, and then at 5:15 take E to dancing. Fun fun fun!

Sorry about all the early waking. That's just no fun. I fully admit that I didn't even hear E when he came into our room at 4:20. Ooops. Bad mommy.

Speaking of which, now that it's snowpant season we're going to need to work on starting to get dressed a bit earlier to go out for the bus. I keep finding myself yelling because E is dawdling or not actually trying to get dressed, and then he's upset, and it's just not a good scene. I need to remember to get him into the bathroom for a last pee by about 10 to, and then he can dawdle for longer if he needs to (and be more independent getting ready, as well.)

Jen. Honestly, I wouldn't feel guilty. Some parents work 12 hours days every day. You spend lots of time with MH, when you're not home she's with Jerry and hanging out with your MIL, and she's well loved and taken care of. You're doing what's best for you and your family. I don't think you need to beat yourself up about that.

Love the frogs Janine! They're SO cute!

Glad you had a good night with only two littles Melissa.

Sorry that Avery is sick, Steph.

Peggy, here in Canada they sell Polysporin Pink Eye drops at the drug store, which is basically the same as the prescription we got when E was sick two weeks ago. So you could try that if you think it might help. If they're that sick though, I'd try to get into the doc with them.

Re: Basically it's woolly Wednesday

Morning mamas! Sorry for all with rough nights and sick/teething kiddos. That's the worst. My new normal is Ian no longer naps, usually sleeps through most of the night, but starts crying somewhere between 4:30 to 5:30am. DH puts him to bed with us, and he melts back to sleep. The Ginger comes and crawls into bed with us at 6:30, and thrashes around just enough to keep me awake until I give up and get up at 7am. Get coffee/breakfast/packed lunches on, wake up Rosie at 7:15. Then ride her butt until she is fed/dressed/ready for school. And now it seems I have to go try to wake up DH multiple times too, and if I'm not successful I have to take Rosie to school while he gets ready. I should just get up at 6:30 with ginger and get crap done. I haven't learned that yet.
