Re: How do you organize...

Well, My fitteds all fit (snugly) in a drawer in Mia's dresser. i put the prefolds, doublers, liners, wipies an covers all in another bigger drawer. I hang up 95% of herclothes so we didn't need the drawer space for anything else.

I don't think my method will help you Amanda but here is what I use...and before everyone starts asking wanting one I bought it used from someone. I *think* someone said they have seen similar ones at Walmart though. FYI.

Re: How do you organize...

I bought a tall 4 drawer plastic organizer from Wel Mart. First drawer: wipes, liners, snappis. Second: Inserts and doublers. Third: Pocket diapers and covers. Bottom: Fitteds and anything else that doesn't fit in the above drawers. It works for now but doesn't come close to fitting all our diapers when they are clean! For now my back up organizer is my laundry basket.

Re: How do you organize...

This is my system, not super clean or full, lol! This is an old wardrobe. The shelves have bins with pockets, then room for pf & inserts. The right side is a shoe organizer with AIO, fitteds, wipes and covers. Then the bottom drawer is wool. My wet bags are flung over the rod.

Re: How do you organize...

I recently changed the place I store my diapers. I used to use dd's pack and play which had a changing table as part of it. I stored the diapers in the bassinet area and changedd her on the changing table part, she was getting near the weight limit for it though so we got the cheapest shelving system IKEA has, It cost $20 and we plan on finishing it to match the rest of our furniture in the bedroom. I just change her on the floor and have all the diapers I normally use on the bottom two shelves. Here is a pic:

If I were in your situation Amanda, and needed to store lots of diapers in different sizes I would get two shelves and bins to go with them. This is a picture of my dd's playroom (It's supposed to be her bedroom, but she sleeps with us). We're planning on finishing the shelves in here too, but haven't decided how to paint them yet, but it gives you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Something else to consider is under the bed bins (they have wheels on them and are short so you can roll them from under the bed really easily) or closet shelving if you want something that is out of the way, but easily accessable.

I store all my fabric in big clear bins according to type of fabric (outer, absorbant, woven) and have them stacked in our spare bedroom. HTH

Re: How do you organize...

my daughters have captains beds and in emmas 2 are full of diapers. I have one full of fitted and prefolds and the other fiulled iwth pockets, aios wool and covers. i keep the wipes in a basket on teh back of the toilet.
I am sure that is no help for you though.
I think shelving with baskets is a good idea. I have thoug of that for my business. Righ now for the biz i have several of hte 3 drawer rubbermaiid thingys. and it works i separate covers form dipes and then in sizes..
