I got my BFP on Dec 22nd after trying for 8 months!

You aren't kidding. It SUCKED.

Still don't know what I should use as my due-date, though.

Based on O date its Sept 17.
Based on LMP its Sept 22.

Since my son was over-due and I don't want to get pushed into induction, I think I'm just going to go with the 2nd date of the 22nd and see what that gets me...what do you think?

I think I would mention that you think you Oed early just in case baby 2 decides to come early they won't freak out. I know with my last baby the midwife had two dates written down so I had the best of two worlds It woudl be fine if the baby came at 37 weeks using the early date or at 42 weeks using the later date.

Good idea. I think I will do that.

With Smidget I had to have my labor stopped FOUR times at 25 weeks. I was dilated to a 1 at 27 weeks at my follow-up check-up. I didn't get checked again until 36 weeks when I was a 3. Still took me over a month to have him...

HOWEVER---I had cervical cancer and had to have a cone biopsy done (removed part of my cervix) and my cervix had a LOT of scar tissue...which caused me to dilate REALLY slowly. I was in labor wiht my son for 36 hours from the time I was admitted (at a 4 and 80% effaced contracting every 90sec-2mins lasting 90sec each...) Yep, that was a FUN 2 days, hahaha.


BUT--this time I won't have the scar-tissue issue, so i could very well go much earlier than I did with my son. I'm just hoping not to go over-due, haha.

Quick: I disagreed w/my midwife over dates for the same o date/lmp reason. She went with the later date from LMP for the exact reason you have in mind. Not sure what would have happened if I'd been really early - I think she would have stuck to her date. The 1 ultrasound I had agree w/the O date (I think it was a 5 day difference). And she was 2 weeks early according to the LMP due date.

Thansk for the info I'll be sure to mention it to the doc.

But our hospital doesn't see you until right around 12 weeks.

Quick-do you do early dating ultrasounds? That may help keep you from having the LMP issue. I didn't have any except the anatomy scan with DS, but since I'm not sure of my dates due to the sort-of AF, etc I'm going to have one.

Oh, and I found clearblue digi tests on clearance at Target so I got one... I've never taken a digi, so it made me feel really excited to see the pregnant pop up. So, now I feel obligated to share
