pants with crotch gusset and/or small toddler undies sewing patterns?

I am hoping someone can help point me in the direction of some sewing patterns for small toddler girls undies and/or pants with a gusset. I know it has been a very long time since I posted in this thread (or done too much crafting either!) since I've been back to work fulltime but, my fully PL'd 3yo DD is going through a phase where she is extra sensitive about her clothes- seams, looseness, tightness, zippers, fabric, etc. If it's not one thing it's another. Part of the problem is that she has the waist of 12 mo size and length of 18 mo size even at her age. Since undies all start at 2T size, I need to make her some regular undies in a small size. They can't be at all loose around the behind and can't slide down her non-existant hips. Any pattern suggestions out there. I did make all her trainers before but she needs regular girls undies. On the other hand, so that I don't have to fiddle to figure it out, does anyone know of a yoga-pant or legging style pant pattern that has a gusset so the seam doesn't bother her in precarious places? Thanks!

I have a free pattern available for little underwear here:
http://www.nooneewilga.com/clothing/littleundies.html

As they have elastic casings, you can adjust the leg and waist sizing to perfectly fit your daughter. It is the pattern I used for undies for my daughter from about 12months old through to when she began fitting into regular store bought undies. But then she was so used to making requests for fabric and embellishments and adjustments, that she doesn't like store bought and I am still making them specially for her (and she is 8yo now) :-)

Just a thought...know the little diaper covers that come with baby dresses and such? I bet those may work good as panties. And since they are made out of all kinds of materials, you might be able to find something she would wear. My local thrift store has tons and sells them for $.29.

the ottobre 6/2010 issue has girls panties, boys boxer briefs(which i prefer for my dd anyways) and long pj pants w/ the gusset. my dd has a tiny bottom, too, and i used the smallest size w/ out adding the seam allowance, and they fit her perfectly!

Thanks. I might try that one with some adjustments... I know she will find those ones too saggy... she really wants them to fit like good adult ones do. But at least it gives a start with some measurements to work with thanks!

I tried that with some we have. The thing about them is they aren't usuallly 100% cotton when they are a knit. They also are too saggy in both the front and back- no extra bulk for this extra-sensitive DD! ;-)

Quick question after looking at the designs on the link- do one of the pj bottoms have the regular 'girl-style' diamond gusset or just the mock-fly 'boy-style' gusset? Also, do the panties have elastic or no?

Those look awesome- thanks!!! While they still start at size 2 as the smallest, at least it's a start. Thanks.

ETA: Eeeek!!! They are all sold out.
