I "claim" $50 is my budget to Dh.

I try to spend about $50 each on toys and then put another $50-$100 into their individual saving accounts. We have more than enough toys already.

Ours is $50 each. However since the boys birthdays are only 22 days apart, sometimes they get a big gift "together".

We do about $50 a piece except on their "golden birthday" then we splurge.

yeah, i would say about $50 as well. this year we got jack a wooden airplane that was technically his birthday present (i like the idea of only one b'day present) but i ended up getting him a wooden car and truck before his b'day and just gave them all at the same time. and WOW does he love his brian's woodshop car and truck!

I'm not sure but I think this year ds BIG bday present will be a swing set..so Im sure that will be more than what we will usually spend. Plus he may end up getting a twin bed because the babys getting the crib, but we might do it at bday time also so he has a few months of adjusting to having a new bed before baby comes/

Don't ask ~ we go way overboard. We have a general rule of big party/small gift or small party/big gift. This doesn't count for the 1st, 5th, 10th or 16th as those get HUGE parties with gifts.

This year my ds turned 12 we went away for the weekend to a hotel as his "big party" (we had a family of friends join us) and we gave him $25. Last year he opted for a small party so we gave him $200.

We usually do $200-$300 for our oldest but that includes the party too, which is usually themed. One year we did a gymnastics party another year we did Build a Bear which we will probably do again since it was so much fun! But with our youngest it's probably only $100-$150. Christmas we "try" to stay at $250 each.
