[Weecycled Woolies]

After wearing all my kids and the youngest one is 2.5 now (who doesn't like to be worn anymore), I am babywearing again. Granted, not of the human species, but still warm and cuddly all the same. She is a rescue puppy that was part of a litter abandoned on the side of the road last week. We took her in last night and a neighbor of mine is trying to find homes for the other 4. She wimpers unless she is being held and follows be everywhere. The vet says she is between 8-10 weeks old, an Okinawan mix. Our other dog Toby is 5 and has become a very good watch dog over her, and even shares his bed I am babysitting today along with my 2 year old and I haven't had enough hands so I plopped her in an old nojo sling I had still in the closet and she fell fast asleep.

aawwwwwwwwwww I think my heart just melted a little! What a great idea! I wish I had some sort of sling when I was raising puppies

It is actually a pretty common thing- I have talked with a few good dog breeders who say they routinely use a sling for the puppies to help socialize them with people, and especially with orphans and rescues- a great idea Sweet picture too

Thanks ladies! I just hope she doesn't become too dependent on me. I keep trying to put her down, even for a potty break outside and she starts crying

Aww! How sweet! Bless her heart! I don't think you can spoil pups at that age, they are very soon going to be "teenage" dogs getting into ALL kinds of trouble and not wanting you to be watching them all the time! Enjoy the cuddles for now!

awwwwwwww very cute, but if you think about it she very young and being abandoned is going to take sometime, I would wear her just like you would a baby and keep her as safe and worm and loved as possiable. she needs to regain trust.
