Help me shop for covers

I have been CDing for 6-7 months so far and am LOVING it. I use GMD reds and flats for my 28lb 2-year-old DD and my 18lb 1-year-old DS.

We have been using flip covers and a couple of Thirsties duo size 2. Both DH and I have loved the flip covers however we keep having problems with them. A few months back i returned one because it had small tears in the PUL. I just noticed this weekend that 3 more all of a sudden have the same thing! It looks like a cat scratched the pul or someone took a razor to it. I wash them with my diapers and then line dry so I don't know why this is happening.

The Thirsties have stood up real well but they are not my favorite. The fit is not as good as I would like and I REALLY don't like the white edges.

So I'm getting my tax return in a little over a week and DH gave me the green light to shop! Help me find covers that will fit both of my babies, please.

I personally love the thirsties covers, but I have found swaddlebees to be a good alternative as well. I have never had any leakage issues with either as I have with the flip covers. You may want to check out jilliansdrawers.com. They have a good variety of diapering necessities, and they have a great return policy! Hope this helps.

GroVia covers are great. Have you tried fleece or wool?

Go wool!!!!

ETA: I LOVE imse vimse covers. both the cotton and the wool. They have gussets (which I think are a MUST) and a huge strip of applix which help get an awesome fit.

The Grovia covers look pretty good.

I have allergies to wool and along with the $$ factor I don't think that would be an option for us. But I have been curious to try fleece maybe at night. Anyone have recomendations for fleece covers?

Re: Help me shop for covers

If you like Flip...you might really like Econobum! Same softness, and same versatility...yet a bit tougher than flips I think! I've only liked Flips, Econobums, and Thirsties really. They are soft and don't cut into my little guys belly like some do if you make them snug like they should be.

I occasionally do like a pro-rap....but I can't stand Bummis...they make my little guy's tush feel like hard plastic when around a prefold!

I've had the same problem with all my exposed PUL. 1 mil is so stretchy, but plastic can only stretch so far before it breaks... for that reason I'm starting to really prefer BSWW.
