Wicking with onies?

Do you get wicking with ones? I don't remember it being an issue before but I have used different kinds of diapers in the past and wool. I am using AIO's and padfolded prefolds with covers. I wonder if I need to increase the absorbency or if it is a common problem?

It's common. And it's annoying.

Re: Wicking with onies?

I get it all the time. DH always asks why DD is "undressed" because I tend to leave her tails unsnapped! It wasn't so bad at first but now that she is on the go, the onesie seems to slip up into the leg area and I size up, so they are loose. Was thinking of chopping them into shirts but they grow so fast, we will be out of them soon.

My goodness is it annoying! I have just stopped fastening them at the bottom. Which defeats the purpose of a onesie. I am seriously thinking about the bottoms off and using woven fabric to make them dresses.

At first I thought maybe they were too tight but it doesn't seem to make a difference. They usually end up stuck against her leg and the diaper anyways.

That is why I was thinking dresses. If I make them a little longer she can use them for quite awhile. They wouldn't work well for crawling but she is only 7 weeks so we have l time before that happens.

Yes! Dresses. That reminds me I think momomom had transformed some cute onesies and shirts into dresses this winter and posted them here. They were adorable. =)

This is not helping me resist the urge to make them. After all I have so much extra time with a 7 week old,I really need extra projects .

I gave away all our onsies, just doing dresses and tshirts with wool!

Well, I thought I could live vicariously through another mama that might have spare time. =). Ha! It sounds even more funny when written out. Who has spare time any more? I have soooo many dreams and ideas but a big deficit of time.
