Anyone TTC back to back? Or 2 kiddos 1 year apart?
I'm so nervous and excited!
We tried for 19 months to get pregnant with DS...he just turned 4 months old today...and today was the day (or rather yesterday) I should have gotten my period! Hubs and I didn't discuss trying...but we certainly didn't do ANYTHING to prevent it. We are SO in love with my Aiden-bean....but now that it might really be a possibility...I am scared of what I might be doing to Aiden! I know it will be a lot for me to handle...but will I be stealing his baby-hood? What if I have the most horrible, awful morning-sickness like I did with Aiden and I can't be a good mommy to him? With Aiden we conceived on 12/26/2009...This time we either conceived on 12/24 or 12/26 AGAIN!!!! So if we have another baby if I am indeed pregnant they will be exactly one year apart!! Anyone else TTC back to back babies...or anyone out there with kiddos exactly one year apart? Are you scared, or did you feel that you stole part of your first baby's babyhood? I'm afraid I'll be depriving Aiden of something! I think if I didn't conceive this month I'm definitely gonna talk to hubs about waiting another 6 months or so, so I don't feel like all these thoughts keep racing through my head! |

Re: Anyone TTC back to back? Or 2 kiddos 1 year apart?
It took us 2.5 yrs of TTC before getting pregnant with my son, so when he was born we started trying immediately for another. Here I am 15 months later and No luck
So, No I do not have kids back to back but Yes I would if I could. I never felt like it would ruin my sons childhood. He would have a little sibling to play with and I can always find time for them both. I had AWFUL morning sickness with my son and if I get it this time I will just have to deal it with a little better than I did last time. I know it easier said then done. I hope you get the answer you are looking for when you test...when are you testing?

It's been SOOOO hard...but I didn't want to freak out about the worries...or get a BFN too soon...or whatever...I wanted to test once and KNOW! LMAO! And I wanted to save DH's sanity as well!

I had DD in April and DS the following May. It isn't always easy, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
I honestly never had time to be scared about it and DD is far from deprived. You're so busy with your first baby the second pregnancy goes so quickly, and next thing you know you've got two little ones Now that I think about it, the only time I ever worried was late in my pregnancy, when I hit that point where you just CAN'T sleep, and I'd lie in bed at night and think, "what am I getting myself into?" Especially if I had a rough day with DD.

Re: Anyone TTC back to back? Or 2 kiddos 1 year apart?
Mine will be 15 months apart. My only regret is that I couldn't breastfeed as long as I wanted. My breastmilk went away when I was aboug 18 weeks along, and DS was 10 months. He's been fine with goats milk, but I'm not thrilled about it!
Otherwise, I'm pretty happy about how things have worked out for us. Hope it all works out for you!!!

I have never stopped trying between my last children. One took a yr and the other took a few months. I have breast fed threw 2 pregnancies too. All my children are 3 yrs apart. It's just the way it worked out. I had wished for closer.

I honestly think its crap how people think you are depriving your first child when you have another one soon after. Um... they still got more alone time than any other child will and they will ALL be fine, KWIM? People are giving me a hard time for trying already but I say screw them! Haha.
