Do you have one? Is it worth the money for occasional recreational sewing? What type, brand, etc. would you recommend? I really don't know much about sergers at all except they make beautifully finished edges! What else are they good for? Please, educate me! LOL!

Re: Sergers

I love my serger, and am currently looking to buy a second one. I have a pfaff and am looking at a second pfaff now.

I use mine for soooo many things and can't believe I ever lived without one!

Re: Sergers

You can sew lots of things with sergers. They are great for finished visable seams on shear fabrics. You can also make the lettuce edge hems on baby shirts or skirts, sleeves, etc. I would recommend going to your local library and checking out a few seregr books to get a good idea. There are plenty of things that can be made that are not diaper related at all.
