Colorado snowfall??
Hey all you Colorado families,
My DH and I are considering moving to Colorado, specifically the Denver/Boulder area. We are just wondering on average how much snow do you get and where in CO do you live. Does the snow hang around for a while? We love snow and want a place that gets snow. Thanks!!!

Re: Colorado snowfall??
In two days we got 2 feet of snow :-) Very pretty. There are tons of CO cloth diapering mamas, here, especially in crunchy boulder. We get snow, but usually not this much and it's usually like 60 degrees before and after a snowfall, so it doesn't stick on the streets in town very much, but there is always snow in the mountains a few minutes away. PM me if you need more info. I'm in Littleton/denver metro

I've lived in Denver my entire life. Some years we get lots of snow, some years hardly any. It usually melts pretty quickly because we can get pretty warm days in the winter. If you really want to be in lots of snow (I hate shoveling so I'm happy in the metro area!) I'd suggest looking at Genessee, Evergreen, or any of the small towns in the foothills. Snow hangs around in the higher elevations a bit longer than in town.
