If you use oxi clean and/or vinegar

How often do you use it?
What part of the wash cycle?
How much do you use?
FL or TL?

TIA

Re: If you use oxi clean and/or vinegar

I use Oxyclean with every diaper load and i have a TL

I do a full cold wash with No Detergent first

Then i do a SUPER HOT Wash with A scoop of Tide right below the 1 line and a Full Scoop of Oxyclean, If i have no PUL in the wash i will add a cup of Vinegar to it as well...(Fitteds, prefolds etc)

Then i do an Extra Warm Rinse to make sure it rinses clean

Works GREAT!!

Re: If you use oxi clean and/or vinegar

i use oxyclean in every load - top loader - i use a 2oz scoop - had been using 4 oz but they seemed a bit starchy so i cut it to 2 oz. i do a full wash with hot/cold rinse using 2 capfuls of bacout and no detergent - full hotwash/cold rinse with 4oz scoop of planet plus 2 oz of oxyclean then repeat my prewash cycle again without detergent - seems to work great but i only have natural fibers no microfleece - prefolds, prefitteds, and some hemp doublers and a few bamboo fitteds. hth

Re: If you use oxi clean and/or vinegar

I use vinegar in every load. I just dump maybe a cup or 2 of it in after the first rinse- with the long, hot wash cycle. Extra hot rinse at the end and all is well. It keeps the stinkies away 100% for us. I have also dumped vinegar directly on stinky dipes before (had some AIOs from Nanas Bottoms that have all those layers sewn in and hard to get clean, meaning they stink. ) and it really works IMO.

I use vinegar or baking soda in the prewash/rinse cycle and depending on how big the load is I use 1/2-1 cup. I have a front loader.

Re: If you use oxi clean and/or vinegar

I use 2 cups of vinegar, every wash. I do a cold rinse first, then add the vinegar in with the soap. Hot wash, cold rinse, extra rinse.
We have a fl'er.

Re: If you use oxi clean and/or vinegar

Oxyclean for a boost (to clean and to get rid of odor; brightens too); vinegar to restore pH and it's good for "chasing" detergent residues out; baking soda to neutralize acids and whitens.

I use oxyclean most of the time now. Before I ALWAYS used baking soda. I like what oxyclean does better. I have a FL, so I add 1/4 to the prewash tray and do a prewash, then a heavy duty hot wash with rinse and an extra rinse (the longest one). If I'm around the washer when it gets to the rinse, I'll add about 1 cup of vinegar to the rinse tray. If the diapers aren't that dirty, I'll do 1 cup of baking soda in the drum and run a hot rinse with no spin. Then, a heavy duty hot wash with less than line of Country Save and 2 rinses.
