Meet George, now meet his baby sister (post 18)

I made a waldorf doll for my son. He's a bit bigger than I was going for, but after making his head, he needed a bigger body to have proper proportions. So he measures 21" tall and I really like his size.
When stuffing him, I let DS give him a heart, like they do at build-a-bear. I had some foam hearts and DS put it inside the doll.
I made his clothing as well. We live in FL, but for some reason I dressed him for cold weather His hat is made from a felted sweater and shirt/pants were fabrics I had lying around.
He's my 2nd waldorf doll. He's got some wrinkle issues with his neck and his belly button is too low, but overall I'm really happy with how he turned out.
My son named him George.

I have been getting tons of orders for waldorf woolies. But this guy would fit into most newborn sizing! He's gorgeous by the way. I love his little toes!

I wanted to do a belly button and found a tute that combined the belly button and butt. Basically you knot the thread at the belly button, push the thread through and come out at the crotch. Then insert the thread at the top of the butt crack, pull tight making the indentation for the belly button and butt. Bring thread back through the belly button keeping tight and knot it off.

Doll woolies would be great I think. I actually planned on making some for George out of recycled sweaters, but maybe I could get grandma to knit up a real pair

I love his toes too. I planned to do fingers and actually did do one hand, but it ended up being a 6 fingered hand. Whoops, forgot there was already a thumb! It was really late at night, so I undid it, but didn't feel like re-doing it, though I plan to try again today.

Love him! When I saw his cute hiney, I honestly started to wonder where his front bits were. My kids wouldn't be phased by such a thing at all. Eh, 2 outta 3 got one himself!

Well, I've never actually seen a doll with front bits before, but funny enough, my DS wondered the same thing. He noticed George didn't have a "peenie" , so just might have to add one!

ETA: His exact words were "He needs a big peenie like me!"
