I recently bought a wool cover that was listed as having "has some lanolin staining". What color would that be on a buff wool cover? B/c when I got it it has black stains all over it. I have never had lanolin stain anything so I dont know if this is normal or not. Im gonna try washing it with a wool wash bar and see if they come out. Any suggestions?

I don't know... I've never had lanolin stain anything, but I would think it would stain yellow.

thats kind of what I thought. But this staining is not yellow. Its black. Im gonna go try to wool wash it out and see if that helps before I decided what feedback to leave.

Black???

That would've been my last guess.. When I've had lanolin stain clothing (bras, shirts) it just looks like a grease stain (like if you wipe a greasy hand on your shirts, looks wet), it's never been black.

Hope it washes out!
