papaya enzyme?

Safe, not safe? I have read a couple different things on it. I have horrible heartburn all the time. I take prilosec and eat tums like they are candy. I need something that works better than this combo.

Re: papaya enzyme?

My midwife said it was safe. They have helped immensely with my heartburn! I was getting it so bad at night that I would wake up from it in the middle of the night and violently puke.
