Re: For those of us that have 3 (or are having the 3rd) what kind of car?

We have a Saturn Ion, an 08 I think. Anyway, we can't afford a different car so unless a miracle happens all three will be in the back with no room to spare. Baby will be in the middle rear facing in a convertible, older kids will be forward facing in a convertible and a high back booster.

I would try all the carseats out in your vehicle to see if they fit first...unless you are just wanting to get a new vehicle anyways. LOL. I was able to fit all 3 carseats (backwards infant, front facing seat for 1 & 2yr. old sons at the time) in the backseat of my Malibu (CAR!). We now have bought a Honda Odyssey to accomadate everyone...and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Re: For those of us that have 3 (or are having the 3rd) what kind of car?

Once we found out we were pregnant with this new one we upsized. I'm now driving a 06 Ford Freestar. The older two (1 & 3 yrs) will be moving to the back and I will be keeping the littlest one in the first row. I would feel bad just moving one back... Unfortunately we don't have the captain seats That was one thing we were looking for but we ended up going with something else because the dealership was able to give us a really good deal on this mini-van.

LOL! I wish, but not happening in our case. I will only have two in carseats myself, but a teenager tends to take up an enormous amount of room for some weird reason... ROFL!

We have a 2002 Toyota Sienna and fit well, though I prefer bench seats in the middle row over the bucket seats we have.

Re: For those of us that have 3 (or are having the 3rd) what kind of car?

I drive a Suburban and was worried about fitting everyone. I got 2 Radians for the back seat, plus my oldest (will be 8) probably in a booster. I went ahead and got them b/c if it didn't work we would be ordering a bench seat for the middle row to replace the captains' chairs I got mine at Kohls w/ the 30% off coupon code, free shipping and earned Kohls Cash! Mine were less than $200! It was the best deal I have scene for them and I have been looking for several months. It did take a little playing around, I had planned one on each side with the booster in the middle, but it worked out btter to put them side by side, and the booster on the other side. DD6 will be in her Britax Frontier, and the baby will be in a Graco Safeseat, both in captains chairs in the middle. We fit, but barely! Any more kids and we will have to get something w/ a bench seat in the middle. My back seat is not a full-sized seat, it is smaller b/c it fits between the wheel wells. I think you can absolutely fit 3 across the back of your car if you want to try it! We were not ready to by a new car, we did that last pregnancy :giggle So this time I had to work w/ what I had. I spent less than $400 on the Radians.

Ive got a chevy uplander (van)
and this is boy #3, so we will have the 2 older kiddos in the back bench, both in 5pt harness carseats, then have the baby in the infant seat in one of the front bucket seats. The other one we will remove so that we can easily get to the 2 kids in the back.

This is the plan!
