Real Maple Syrup?

We are finally out of the fake stuff and I really want to get some real organic Maple Syrup but not sure what to get or what is a good price. I think I want Grade A but again, I'm not positive. We will mostly use it for pancakes/waffles but I will also use some for homemade granola so a bit of baking. Also, looks like a 32 oz. jug is about $17 on amazon, is that a good price?

Re: Real Maple Syrup?

what will the shipping be? I think if you buy in bulk you might get a better price. On amazon I think you can sign up for a recurring order, and get an additional 15% off. *You can cancel the recurring order before second order ships. (This is one of the products I don't pay the extra for organic certification. )

I'm not sure about the price but we buy ours at Trader Joes and they are normally priced very competitively. Not sure if you have one near you to check out.

It is free shipping and that price includes the Subscribe and Save discount.

Re: Real Maple Syrup?

we have tried both A and B organic maple syrup from amazon and much prefer the flavor of grade B. The A was really too light, couldn't taste it much with our pancakes and waffles.

Re: Real Maple Syrup?

when i was working in vermont, there was a farm store across the street from my hotel and the different grades of maple syrup are fancy grade (very light for desserts), medium grade A (most popular), dark grade A and grade B for cooking. after buying a sampler pack and trying them all, i prefer grade B. its so flavorful and delicious, i would even use it for making desserts. i'm so used to grade B that when i can't find it, grade A just isn't maple syrupy enough for me. if you can find grade B from Vermont, its better then from other regions. i ordered from that farm store for a couple years after leaving vermont but the shipping was so expensive. $17 for a qt is a good price especially if you can get free shipping.

I prefer grade B, and bonus, it's usually less expensive.
