Re: Teething Necklace at Nighttime?

It's not something I'd risk, personally

Re: Teething Necklace at Nighttime?

I have had one on my 19 month old DS since he was 3 months old and it doesn't come off very often. Maybe during the summer to put sunscreen on and thats about it. All of my kids wear them (with the exception of my almost 2month old, haven't gotten his yet). My 13yr old sons just broke because it was being pulled on my our 19 month old and the clasp gave away. I was happy that it happen because I knew then that it worked.

Re: Teething Necklace at Nighttime?

My DD has worn hers 24/7 since 15 months old and she will be 2 next month. I was worried the first few nights - but she is a bit older, and the necklace is short enough to not have the room to get caught IMO. We tried the 'around the ankle' and she promptly took it off. But we HAVE to wear it at night or she has issues with sleep when teething - which is like ALL.THE.TIME!

Re: Teething Necklace at Nighttime?

We rarely ever take them off our young ones. We bought Colin's when he was 7mo and Jenna started wearing her's at 4wks. We do take them off to bathe but put them right back on. I do also take them off when we apply sunscreen on the neck, but that's pretty much short intervals during the summer. We've had people raise the issue as well and I tell them I'm aware of both the risks and benefits to wearing the necklaces.

Dd has worn hers 24/7 since she was 6 months or so. Hers has never been very long, I think it's 11-12", so no chance of getting snagged on anything major. I also wear my amber as well as a hazelwood necklace 24/7 without worry.

Re: Teething Necklace at Nighttime?

oh my second son has been wearing his since he was 4 months old and he is now almost 3. I think I can count on 2 hands the amount of times I've taken it off.
He LOVES his necklace and gets mad if I try to take it off.
I wear my necklace (childproof! This thing has been yanked on so many times) to bed every night and have never had a problem either.

Re: Teething Necklace at Nighttime?

My 4 year old wore hers from 6 months to about age 3 without hardly ever taking it off. Never had a problem.

My 11.5 month old has been wearing hers since she was 4 months old, 24/7, with no issues. Occasionally, I'll get her from her nap and it will be hanging unclasped down her shirt! I feel pretty confident that the screw clasp behaves as advertised in the safety information.

i just think that taking them off at night kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a teething necklace!

Re: Teething Necklace at Nighttime?

Luke's is from Inspired by Finn, it has individually knotted beads & a break away thread.

He has been wearing it 24/7 since he was about 3 months old!

Also, I KNOW it will break if it ever gets snagged. He had a bracelet version on in his car seat. He was MAYBE 6 months old & snagged it on the 'seatbelt' hook on the edge of the bucket & it broke away. Two beads came loose but that was all--it fell off & out of the seat.

We also co-sleep & there is NOTHING in his crib (when he does sleep in it) that could catch a necklace.
