NEW WAHM business! What would you pay? Need opinions please!

My aunt & I are going into business together. She is an awesome seamstress & I am the business end of the partnership. Right now we are going to be offering handmade girls dresses. They are reversible, cute print on one side & either solid color, stripes, or a more subtle pattern on the reverse. Will probably be adding embroidery, etc to the plain side once we get these figured out.

These are really great dresses, the little diaper butts peek out perfectly to show off your cute CD bums. I have 5 so far which is how this venture got started. Here are some pics of 2 we have right now. I am wondering, how much would you be willing to pay for a dress alone (we are thinking we will add diaper/cover options later)? We wont do customs right now because my aunt also runs a clothing store & may not have time to get to customs so it will all be instock.

Thanks so much for everyones help! I will try to get a picture of my dd in one of her dresses today (she's napping now & its only 55F!)

We will also be selling doublers like these:

They are going to be 3-3.5x 10.5-11" flannel outers & 4 layer cotton soaker inside. I use them & they are awesome! Just not sure how to price them. Will have girl, boy & neutrals available.

Got the pics added now...photobucket was taking forever & then it changed all my IMGs to URLs so I had to fix that too!!

EDITED IN: we are contemplating adding bloomers, AIOs, pockets, covers to match eventually. We really want to know what YOU'D want to buy & for how much.

Re: NEW WAHM business! What would you pay? Need opinions please!

I've bought some similar dresses from 2 different WAHMs. I paid about $15-$20 for each dress. So...that's what I'd pay for these. The others aren't reversible, which I think is a nice touch, but they did have other little embellishments that the two you show don't.

So...I think $15 is fair. If you do embroidering, something small, then I'd go for $18. If you did bloomers...perhaps $20 for the set (maybe slightly more depending on all the frills in it).

One thing that would hold be back...the metal snaps. I don't like them. I just got in some aborable baby outfits from Motherwear (of all places) and the metal snaps they used came apart in one wash! I've also had clothes damaged in the wash if I don't close up all my snaps before washing. If you can do plastic snaps, and make the shoulder straps adjustable...you'd be golden with me!

This is a cute style. I only have one dress like this for my babe, and I just love it.

If you'd like a tester out there - I'm waving my arms. I'd love to be a tester for ya!

I probably should have told my aunt plastic (she has a snap press somewhere...) It would be cute to have colored snaps that matched the dress....THANKS! I know she's planning on adding bloomers soon, then moving to diaper covers & pockets eventually.

Here are pics of my dd wearing a 18-24mo size. She is 30" tall & 20# at 16mos. You could wear it with or without a tshirt depending on weather. I took pics of both. Front & back.

Cute pics. I think...a little lower on the neck line would be nice as well.

Yeah, i told her to put the snaps a bit further down the strap & that should make the neck like a bit lower, maybe for larger sizes she can cut it a bit more there.
