What detergent do you use?

Looking for a good detergent to fix up some used diapers and keep new ones in great condition. What do you use for your sweet baby?

Any free and clear type, we like liquid over powder.

Re: What detergent do you use?

Right now I 'm using Dreft just because we have some.. I've learned I can pretty much use anything but oddly it NEEDS to have enzyme cleaners.. EVERYtime I try switching to one free of them my DD gets rashy and it doesn't clear till I go back to an enzyme detergent..

All F&C, some dollar store F&C... About the only thing that I've had issues with is regular Era, but that's because I'm sensitive to it

Really, in most normal conditions I think it's probably pretty difficult to screw up my diapers (almost exclusively prefolds).

Re: What detergent do you use?

I've always had good luck with arm and hammer free and clear or tide free and clear.

I use Planet powder. I only use environmentally friendly detergents in my household, and I found Planet to work the best with our old toploader. Now to see at the end of this week (just had my sweet baby) if it will be just as good with our newer FL.

Worse comes to worse and I can buy Sun.

Re: What detergent do you use?

We use Tide original powder. It has worked really well for us. We've never had the stinkies or any buildup. In fact, recently I kept hearing about people boiling their inserts, and wanted to try it just to see what would happen. I boiled them for 20+ minutes and nothing at all happened. The water was just as clean as when it came out of the tap. So I guess our routine is really working for us! (I knew it was, but this was a great confirmation.)
