Pressure?

UGH..so this is baby #2 for me and I am having incredible amounts of pressure down there...I am exercising, have only gained about 7lbs and am eating right.. I have veins popping out all over my legs and its just all over uncomfortable. I asked the dr and he said this is pretty typical of a 2nd pregnancy?? Is anyone else having this?

Re: Pressure?

Mine got worse with each pregnancy. I believe that if you have no other symptoms it is totally normal. Not so comfortable though, huh?

Re: Pressure?

I had a lot of pressure and the baby just felt heavy on my bones with my second. This one still feels pretty comfortable... so that's a nice surprise! I guess it's just different for different babies!? I think I've also gained more with this one than the 2nd... maybe I have more padding and it's making me more comfortable?? IDK!
Hope you feel better... Maybe try some support stockings and raising your feet at night?

Re: Pressure?

My aunt (although she never had kids) swears by putting her feet up at night. She is physically fit but every night she "drains her legs" and has never gotten any weird veins or anything. Just be careful laying on your back! (And I can't believe you've only gained 7 lbs! Amazing!)

Re: Pressure?

yeah I get this real bad. If you are getting vericose veins or anything like that, getting off your feet is really important. If you are cramping or having pain in your vaginal area (sorry if thats tmi, thats what happens with me) I highly recommend a warm bath! You need to start slowing down a bit. Make sure you have good shoes on too. If you are having any back or hip pain, try going to the chiropractor. Some of them adjust pregnant women and some offer prenatel massages.

Re: Pressure?

so far the only thing that's bothering me is my keloid c/s scar. OMG. Suddenly I can't wear (I do! lol) most of my underwear or pants, it rubs on it and I'm like
Sometimes I'll get the RLP...I got it the other night at a wedding and couldnt' stand for like 10 mins.
I'm also *just starting to feel my weight (20#) when I climb up the stairs. Sweet DH said it doesn't look like I gained weight, just that my belly is growing. (He doesn't usually compliment much! lol)

Re: Pressure?

By this time I had it bad with DD2, but I was on my feet at work all day too. This one, not so much, but yeah, pretty typical. Muscles are not as strong as they used to be and all that jazz.

I've been feeling a lot of pressure on my pelvic bone ever since baby flipped head down. DS was head way down from pretty early on but I don't remember feeling quite like this. to all the mamas having this issue.
