Prayers for my SIL and the babies - Updated - 5/20/11 - Both babies and mom are home

My SIL was admitted with her twins today at 25 weeks, 4 days. She is 80% effaced and 1 cm dilated - changing but not contracting.

These are their first children.

They have gone through great lengths to be pregnant with these babies.

Please keep them in your prayers.

5/09/11 - I decided to add the most recent here in the first post. Baby Grace came home today!!!! Baby Henry is supposed to come home this week.

Please continue them in your prayers!!

5/20/11 -

Both babies are home. Thank you so much for your prayers - continued prayers for Grace's brain bleed to heal.

Their homecoming pics are on the blog.

Thank ladies!!!

Keep the prayers coming.

The stabilized her this weekend with super high doses of magnesium. They are making her so sick, but the contractions have way slowed and the cervical change as well.

She is 26 weeks today.

That is good to hear. Hopefully the babies will stay put for a good while now. That magnesium is just plain awful but if it is doing it's job I am sure she will be thankful for it in the end. I had to have several doses of the magnesium when I randomly went into labor with DS a full 2 months before my due date. I can still remember how awful it made me feel and that was a bit over 2 years ago.

Re: Prayers for my SIL

27 weeks and 4 days.

Her water broke last night. They have her on magnesium but the babies will probably come in the next 24 hours.

They have had a hard time slowing or stopping her contractions.

Please keep her in your prayers.

Re: Prayers for my SIL - Updated - 2/26 - Post 9

Wishing her all the best, I had my son last year at 29 weeks, after my water broke at 28.5 and they stopped it with mag only for it to start up again after the mag wore off...it's a long, hard road through the NICU, especially when it is for a couple months, but she will have alot of support from others who are going through the same thing. Our NICU had a social worker on call 24/7 that we could meet about anything, and a support group everyweek for the parents to get together and talk about their concerns, baby's progress etc with other parents going through the same thing.
