Question QUESTION????

I'm around 36 weeks, I just had sex and realized that I was bleeding afterwards. It's not bright red it's barely anything and its lighter colored, like pink. My stomachs kind of been uncomfortable all day but it didn't feel like something to worry about. The baby has been moving around fine all day also. Has anyone else had light bleeding like this before towards the end of their pregnancy??

This hasn't happened to me, but I'm just wondering - is it possible that your cervix got thumped? I've heard of tis happening to non-preg women, too.

Yep- probably just irritated your cervix- its also very possible for your cervix to start making some changes at this point, and as it stretches and shortens, can bleed a little bit.

Yep, happened with all 3 of my pregnancies I usually always bleed after sex, starting around 36/37 weeks.
Not only is everything kinda "swollen" and tender down there anyway because of your high blood volume, but the prostoglandins in hubby's "stuff" are doing there job and helping to ripen your cervix for labor. Just another step in the right direction

I agree with all the PP's. I don't think it's anything to worry about at all.

Most likely just irritated your cervix. I wouldn't worry. I always had contractions after I had sex.

It is definitely normal, but keep a eye on it. I always bled after sex towards the end of my pregnancy w/DD, but once at around 34 weeks I had bleeding after sex that lasted for more than just a few hours. I called my doctor and she had me go get checked out and I was actually in labor. They were able to stop it, but I was on pelvic and bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy. My DD was born two weeks later.
